The Mid Iowa Bassmasters Bass originated in 1971. While organized as a means for members to pursue tournament Bass fishing, the club has become well known for its stewardship in the community through various joint projects with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and Easter Seals Camp Sunnyside.

This Swap Meet's featured speaker is Doug Burns.
Doug Burns a.k.a. "The Iowa Guide" is a full-time fishing guide on The Iowa Great Lakes and is a former touring walleye professional. Doug has given hundreds of seminars across the country, has 4 tournament wins to his credit and competed in 4 national championships.
